Architectural ventilation

On the roof or facade, ventilation is an increasingly important element in the construction or energy renovation of buildings because it contributes to the proper functioning of technical equipment and the renewal of indoor air, by permanently guaranteeing optimal airflow. TELLIER BRISE-SOLEIL's ventilation systems also perform multiple functions related to the comfort and well-being of users.

Natural ventilation is based on a simple physical principle: warm air, being lighter than cold air, rises and generates a natural air draft in the building. Implementing natural ventilation with constant airflow allows outside air to enter and expels stale air from the building. Cooling by allowing large quantities of fresh, natural air to enter can significantly lower the temperature of a building (residential, commercial, public...) or an installation (data center, technical room...). When a building is air-conditioned, intensive natural ventilation can reduce or even eliminate HVAC cooling loads . Thus, installing ventilated louveredcladding or a ventilation grid is beneficial in improving thermal comfort and in reducing or eliminating energy consumption related to active building cooling.

Finally, with the evolution of modern construction needs, installations regrouping various technical equipment (e.g., air handling units, air conditioning or generator sets, heat pumps...) are increasingly present and often located on the facade or roof. This technical and electrical equipment, which requires air intake and exhaust, demands protection from the elements. Installing a ventilated louvered screen around these technical installations  creates a discreet and visually integrated  screen. Thus, ventilated louvered cladding and ventilation grids ensure a significant supply of fresh and cooling air while visually concealing technical installations or unsightly elements behind a screen.
